Budgets help you set spending limits per category and keep track of how you're doing throughout the month — with AI assistance to set realistic targets.

Creating a budget

Set a monthly limit for any spending category:

1. Open Budgets from the sidebar.
2. Choose a category (e.g. Groceries, Dining, Transport).
3. Enter your monthly limit and save.

You can create budgets for as many categories as you like, and activate or deactivate them as your priorities change.

Tracking your spending

Each budget shows a live progress bar comparing what you've spent against your limit for the current month. As you log transactions, the bars update automatically:

• On track — comfortably within your limit.
• Approaching limit — you're getting close.
• Over budget — you've exceeded the limit, highlighted clearly so it's easy to spot.

AI budget advisor Premium

Not sure what to set your limits to? On Premium, the AI budget advisor does the thinking for you.

1. The advisor analyses your historical spending across each category using Azure OpenAI.
2. It suggests realistic monthly budgets — sensible round numbers based on how you actually spend, not generic benchmarks.
3. Apply the suggestions in one step, or fine-tune individual categories first.
