Welcome to ExpenzX

ExpenzX is a focused personal and business finance tracker. Log your income and expenses, scan receipts with AI, set budgets, and understand your money through clear reports — without ever connecting a bank account.

What is ExpenzX?

ExpenzX gives you a private, secure place to record and understand your finances. You stay in control: every transaction is something you enter manually or capture from a receipt — there are no bank logins, and the app can never move your money.

Behind the scenes it's built on Microsoft Azure, with AI features powered by Azure Document Intelligence and Azure OpenAI to take the manual work out of categorising spend.

Signing in

ExpenzX uses Google sign-in exclusively. There's no separate password to create or remember.

  1. Go to app.expenzx.com.
  2. Click Sign in with Google and choose your Google account.
  3. You'll land on your Dashboard, ready to add your first transaction.

Your Google password is never shared with ExpenzX. We only receive your name, email, and profile picture to identify your account.

Your workspace

Once you're signed in, the left sidebar is your home base. Here's what each section does:

  • Dashboard — your financial snapshot at a glance.
  • Transactions — add, edit, search and scan income and expenses.
  • Budgets — set monthly spending limits per category Pro
  • Reports — charts and summaries of your finances.
  • Documents — store receipts, invoices and statements Premium
  • Ask ExpenzX AI — ask plain-English questions about your money Premium Web
  • Settings — manage the categories used by transactions, budgets, and reports.
  • Profile & Subscription — manage your account and plan.
  • Preferences — currency, theme, and financial-year options.

Plans

ExpenzX has three plans. Some features in this documentation are marked with a Pro or Premium badge to show where they're available:

  • Free — transactions, dashboard, reports, multi-currency, weekly spending goal.
  • Pro — adds AI receipt scanning, budget tracking, and AI Weekly Recap.
  • Premium — adds Ask ExpenzX AI, the AI budget advisor, recurring transactions, and document storage.

Quick start

  1. Sign in with Google.
  2. Go to Settings → Categories to review the starter categories ExpenzX sets up for you (e.g. Salary, Groceries, Rent, Transport). Rename, remove, or add more to match how you manage your money.
  3. Open Transactions and click Add Transaction to log your first income or expense using your new categories.
  4. Check the Dashboard to see it reflected instantly.
  5. Head to Reports once you have a few entries to spot trends.

You can add more categories at any time from Settings. If you import a CSV on the web app, any categories in the file that don't exist yet are created automatically.
