Your Workspace

Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first screen you see after signing in. It gives you a real-time snapshot of your finances, pulled together from every transaction you've logged.

What's on the dashboard

The dashboard brings your key numbers together in one place:

  • Weekly Goal — your spending target for the current week, with a live progress bar and an AI Weekly Recap on Pro and above.
  • Income & expense totals — your money in and money out for the current month.
  • Net position — income minus expenses, so you can see at a glance whether you're ahead.
  • Cash flow — a 6-month income vs. expenses trend.
  • Recent transactions — your latest entries, so you can confirm everything is captured.

Everything on the dashboard updates instantly as you add, edit, or delete transactions — there's nothing to refresh or sync.

Weekly Goal

The Weekly Goal card sits at the top of the dashboard on both the web and mobile apps. Set a target amount to spend in a week and ExpenzX tracks your progress in real time:

  • On track — you're within your target.
  • Approaching — you're getting close to the limit.
  • Overspent — you've exceeded the weekly target.

On Pro and Premium, the card also shows an AI Weekly Recap — a short, plain-English summary of your week's spending patterns and any notable trends.

You can update your weekly target at any time directly from the Weekly Goal card. The goal resets automatically at the start of each week.

Alerts & notifications

ExpenzX surfaces alerts so important events don't go unnoticed:

  • Budget alerts — notified when you approach or exceed a monthly budget limit.
  • Recurring transaction alerts — reminded when a recurring entry is due.
  • Storage alerts — warned when your document storage is nearing its limit (Premium).

On the web app, alerts appear via the notification bell in the header. On the mobile app, they are surfaced in-app as you navigate.

Currency display

All amounts are shown in your selected display currency. You can change this any time in Preferences, and ExpenzX normalises values using exchange rates so multi-currency activity stays consistent.

Where to go next

The dashboard reflects the data you put in, so the best next step is to add some transactions:

  • Use Transactions to log income and expenses, or scan a receipt.
  • Once you have a few weeks of data, open Reports for deeper trends.
